Marinus Analytics is a woman-owned social impact SaaS company founded in 2014 out of The Robotics Institute at Carnegie Mellon University. Marinus Analytics is seeking a full-time ML Researcher or part-time Research Intern with Natural Language Processing focus to work on a Human Services insight tool for social workers. This role involves strategic planning and execution to curate appropriate ground truth, establish repeatable processes, and involve subject matter experts in the verification and validation of results. Researcher must be effective in teaming, communicating, and troubleshooting. We are seeking an individual passionate about making a social impact through their contributions.
Build and deploy NLP and machine learning pipelines
Experience in Natural Language Processing (NLP)
Understanding of the technology landscape including open source, commercial on-premises, and cloud-based tools: Tensor Flow, Amazon Web Services Comprehend / Sagemaker
Frameworks to process end to end data management life cycle for NLP, Machine Log Algorithms, Text Mining Algorithms
Experience with server-side web frameworks (Django (Python))
Strong experience with relational databases (PostgresDB, MySQL)
Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Neo4j)
Experience developing on LINUX
Must be currently enrolled or have graduated with a BS, MS or PhD degree program in Computer Science, Linguistics, Computational Linguistics, Statistics, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience (classroom or work related) in one or more areas of computer science, such as Natural Language Understanding, Neural Networks, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Algorithmic Foundations of Optimization, Data Science, Software Engineering, Programming Languages, Distributed Systems, Human Computer Interaction, Networking, Operating Systems, Computer Architecture, Data Mining and/or Machine Intelligence (Artificial Intelligence).
Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages including: C/C++, Java, MATLAB, or Python.
Competitive and commensurate with experience.
