RESPONSIBILITIES
Marinus Analytics is seeking an experienced software engineer with DevOps, Python, and Linux experience. The role will be focused on managing a big data, web-based software-as-as-service platform, leveraged by our victim-centered policing partners. In addition, you will be assisting in deploying monitoring tools to detect vulnerabilities in high-risk online content. This is a range posting (software engineering) and the offer title will be commensurate with the selected candidate's skills and experiences.
QUALIFICATIONS
Full-stack development experience in developing web applications, RESTful APIs, Front-end: HTML, CSS, AJAX, JQuery, React, JavaScript
Designing and implementing solutions while writing clean, high-quality, high-performance, maintainable, and scalable code
Participating in code reviews and collaborating with the team
Proficiency in SQLAlchemy
Proficiency in Git
Experience with one or more database technologies like Postgres, Redis, MongoDB, etc.
Familiarity with Bash and developing software on Linux
Experience with container orchestration, clustering, scaling
Experience with Docker
Experience with Kubernetes
Keen sense of urgency, highly motivated, and ability to learn quickly
Experience with Flask or Django
5+ years programming in Python, or a similar programming language
2+ years experience deploying code to a cloud environment (preferably AWS)
3+ years experience with SQL databases (preferably Postgres)
BS or MS in Computer Science, Data Science, or equivalent experience
This position is mostly remote or flex (depending on your preference), but the candidate must live in Pennsylvania or Colorado, with a preference given to Pittsburgh candidates
